My 72 swb k10

Hey everybody, been a long time looker on here but haven't posted much.

Thought i would share my 72 i picked up a few weeks ago. Call me crazy but I traded my 01 crew cab Chevy diesel for this (plus alot of cash from his end) I was getting tired of dumping money in the diesel, it had 177xxx miles and had to replace an injector etc etc. NOT CHEAP and not the easiest thing to work on. Anyway... enough rambling....

I say you got the better end of the deal, nice truck you got. I hope to someday soon acquire a swb myself. Keeping the truck the way it is?

Bumper is from LMC. Very nice. I ordered their bumper brackets as well and they weren't very nice, but with a little work i got it all together

Re: My 72 swb k10

Please tell me you will ditch the steering wheel in that thing.

Looks good though! I wish I could get a 700r4 swap done in my truck.

Re: My 72 swb k10

i actually don't mind that steering wheel, but will replace it someday.

Well i'm taking a break from the rear brake job right now (wish i had AC in the garage). Pulled the axles out earlier to replace the seals and re seal the cover and found alot of wear on the spider gears and the cross pin has tons of wear on it. Damn it. Outer axle bearings literally fell apart when i pulled the passenger side axle, fun fun. I don't own a slide puller to get the axle bearings out, so i had to use my dremel and cut the things out.

Funny how a simple rear brake job turns into a big ol parts list of things i need now. Wifes gonna love it. I keep tellin her.....ONE more trip to napa honey and i should be done for awhile....... that was a dozen trips ago

O well. Keep truckin. Thanks for all the nice comments guys.
