Break booster install vacuum question
Hey guys. I got the summit brake booster kit link here. I have some questions about connecting up be back in. Have a 71 C10 with a quadrajet carburetor and I have pulled a fitting off the back side of the carburetor where I think the vacuum hose needs to connect. Struggling to figure out what size bar fitting each to go back in there oh, the parts store and hardware store neither have one where I can check the fitting of the plug that was in it. I'm guessing it's 9/16 but not sure of the thread pattern so that I can order the right Barb fitting or find it. Anybody that can confirm the thread and size for that pork?

Re: Break booster install vacuum question
What you need is a brass fitting like the one pictured 1/4 pipe x inverted flare and an oem tube. That way you can avoid connecting your vaccum hose to a straight fitting coming out the back of your carb and putting a 90 degree bend in your hose. If you get those two items your hose will stay straight to you booster check valve and a cleaner look.

Re: Break booster install vacuum question
hey guys, trying to do this install tonight, I have a simple qeustion I cant find the answer to. I have a firewall boot for the pin to pedal connection. Does the cone go toward engine or in the cab .... I know seems dumb but that one question is holding me up and I didnt have one on my OEM setup (that I can find)
