Re: Billet Grille?
someone has a post with a wire mesh behind the grill... I can't find it right now.
I would repaint to mathc the truck, leave the area around the blinkers blacks and replace the ring and bezels with new chrome, also new CHEVROLET letters, hood trim and eyebrows.... |

Re: Billet Grille?
The ones I have seen look good, if you remove the parking lights

Re: Billet Grille?
Yea that is an older pic before it was finished. It now has the letters and eyebrows. The paint idea was my dads and its not bad, im probably going to keep it but just extended the black to to the corners..then get chrome trim...then probably going to option for the wire mesh behind the grille since billet grilles for '68s seem to be either scarce or custom mods.

Re: Billet Grille?
I think with your black paint and full 67/68 chrome your front end will come alive.I`d wait to buy inserts until you do all that first.People have the tendency to want to fill large areas in vehicle`s grilles. But,nothingness is a great aggressive look that works well, like ports or nostrils to the fire-breather under the hood. With the black in the holes abd black accent paint, the chrome will direct attention to it.Look at pictures of black trucks to see.

Re: Billet Grille?
you'll want to think about how you're going to open your hood with most custom grill mods//remote release is needed for most billet grills i've seen
