Re: Ebay Buckets for the not so faint of heart.

This post isn't meant to flame someones auction...but...I just can't see how these seats are worth this kind of money. But then again...maybe I'm out of touch.

Yeah, he's dreaming alright. I don't see any bids on the seats, and I don't think anyones gonna bid at even half the price he wants. They seem like pretty decent seats though, I'd guess they would clean up pretty good.

Re: Ebay Buckets for the not so faint of heart.

My old addage applies:
If they`re worth that much to the seller he should keep them.
Maybe they`re worth so much because he has a picture of that bright green truck.Maybe that`s why the steering wheel he wrongly describes as beeing 67-69 is $300,too.Those seats aren`t worth any more than a seat needing all new covers. They`re not original.hey are seat you can put in your blue truck that will look pretty good.Is that worth $1,200?

Re: Ebay Buckets for the not so faint of heart.

I first thought, that maybe the wife told him to clean out the garage, so he priced it so it wouldn't sell, and could keep it..

Then I saw his other stuff????

doenst ebay charge to post ads? I've seen stuff like this before.. cars and such so high in price and no bids... how much do they pay? or can you cancel one and not pay a fee?

You only pay a fee if it sells. He won't be paying anything any time soon.

Incorrect, you do pay a listing fee up front.

They charge a LOT of fees...when your item doesnt sell, you are SOL, and Ebay laughs all the way to the bank. If you do a completed listings search on Ebay, you will find that 90% of our trucks and their associated rare option parts never sell because of some dreamers wishful thinking. Even if the economy was not in the toilet, those seats would not bring the money he is asking for them. In this case, HE is the sucker and Ebay is the benefactor.

I didn't think the bucket seat brackets from 67 - 78 were interchangeable.

Re: Ebay Buckets for the not so faint of heart.

Those seats are out of a 73-77ish blazer NOT 69-72 for anybody that may be interested in them. The seat frames will work but the brackets/ tracks are a couple inches taller than the 69-72s just FYI

For that price I wouldn't want to ruin them by sitting on them letalone jump all over them.

OMFG! That price is insane! You could get a couple blazer seats from the junkyard, have new foam and two tone suede or fabric applied for around $500-600.
