Mechanically Untrained Manual

Ok my mechanical skills are about -12 on a scale of 1-10. But I want to do a 350/th350 conversion my current set up is a 292/4-speed. I want to use the Lokar flooor shifter changing the intake and carb and switching to headers. Is there a thread for us slow folks that want to learn to do this. With all the current vehicles that we all drive the knowledge of engine repair is becoming a lost trait due to computers needed to work on todays vehicles.

Recently we have had a lot of people looking to switch fron I6's to 350's. Also many questions have been asked without a total detailing of the entire process.

I have looked all over the site and have not run across anything like this thread but it may be helpful to some of us for someone to create a more detailed thread to help hand hold some of us till we get our feet wet with some more explanations as to why this works this way.

Maybe I am way off here but any help is appreciated for my situation and for anyone else who is mechanically untrained.

Yes this may be some work for someone and a lot of pics and info but may be really useful to a lot of us.

Sorry if this is a way off base idea and should have been posted elsewhere
