Re: "For The Dragracing Fans"

Mine doesnt even compare to these other cars but i have alot of fun bracket racing on the weekends. Its a 67 chevelle -355, Brodix heads, powerglide, best run so far was a 10.90 @ 123 mph. Ive been racin for 6 years and i have 5 points championships. I also have a 66 chevelle that runs 12.80s and my dad has a 66 chevelle (that he drove to high school) that now runs 10.50s. so other than messin with these trucks i stay pretty busy.

Re: "For The Dragracing Fans"

doesn't quite compare at all to the rest of the vehicles in this thread....

ran 14.01 at 101.* stock everything. 215fwhp/327tq

Now has 259whp/297tq... haven't been to the strip yet with it. I prefer autox with this car though

Re: "For The Dragracing Fans"

This is a cool thread. I've been around drag racing sice I was litte, when my dad wasn't racing his alchol funny cay he was scootin' around town in his built 69 Chevelle. They finally got out of it about 10 years or so ago, now my brother and I took the reins, were building a "true" Fuel Alterd and some nostalgia funny car races.
The car should definitly haul the mail with about 3500 hp ,90% nitro and setting the 1271 blower at about 20%.

I remember seeing Al Hoffman come to the track with a beat up car hauler and a badass nitro funny car on the back, the entire operation was he and his wife...... May he RIP
For those that don't know he passed away of a heart attack today!
