67 tranny xfr case id
Since my truck is sitting in a melting snowbank I can't go out and look. But can someone give me a hint what transmission and transfer case that Chevy used in a 67 K10 CST long box fleetside. It is a 4 speed manual.

Thanks. How much engine will these gearboxes handle? Thinking of putting a 6.2/6.5 diesel in. Justin |

They should be able to handle the torque the diesels put out but the T-221 transfer case is an old unit that there are not very many parts avail for them anymore . There is another thread on the eng section (I think) that another guy is asking ?'s about the diesels u should read !

67's still used the sm-420 4 speed. If reverse is left and down, its a 420. If reverse is right and down, its a swapped-in 465.
