update on the trucks....this is just my luck for ya i guess

here is what i posted originally on the 27th of october-monday
i got some possible good news i want to share.a friend called me last night while he was at work and ran a possible business idea by me.i said ok what do you have in mind?he asked me if i wanted to trade him the taurus i have for sale to him for his......
1978 3/4 ton chevy 2wd.the truck has a 350/TH400/3.73 gears/runs good and looks ok-the body is straight but it could use a little TLC/ive never drove it but i have rode in it and it runs good/could use some carb and timing work but that is about it/.................
im really tempted to do because i would be able to get something i wouldnt mind driving sell my damn taurus which i dont drive anyway and i could put my 74 on the shelf and do some work to it.the same friend also gave me a 77 GMC Sierra 3/4 ton which he was going to use for parts.i hopefully will be able to pick that up on tuesday.i also have that 78 parts truck which no one is chomping at the bit to buy so maybe ill take the two parts truck and combine it with my 74 to make one good truck.question now is where the hell am i going to store all this stuff.ahh decisions, decisions.what do you all think i should do?

here is the update as of 10/29/03-wednesday
talked to my friend on monday night while on break at work and he told me go ahead and come get it and he has the title which he will give me and he has the doors and fenders at home.i asked him if i could go pick up the doors and fenders but he wasnt home at the time and was going to be gone most of the day so he said no tonite isnt good for that so i was said ok thats cool.asked him about the 78 3/4 ton for the taurus to which he did change his mind so no 3/4 ton for me.so i have yesterday off work and im sitting with my uncle drinking a couple beers when he calls me at like 7 o clock last night asking me if i had picked up the 77 parts truck yet.i said no my idea for a truck and trailer fell through and i have no other way of getting it so it may have to wait a few days since my dad who has a truck and trailer at his shop but he wasnt able to get it until this weekend.jim says thats no big deal but one problem your truck isnt there.i said WTF do you mean its not there.he said i dont know but lemme call you back ill talk to dave the name of the guy whose house it was being stored at.he calls me back 10 minutes later and said he had the truck towed away sunday to franks auto and truck and auto salvage in apache junction arizona.now what doesnt make sense to me is that why did the guy have it when we talked monday morning and he called dave monday evening and told him i would be coming to get the truck and he told me it was ok and now on tuesday the truck isnt there and is in a junkyard.i think my friend is too much of a chicken**** to say he wants to keep so he made up this story to make it look like the truck is now lost.what do you all think and you can be honest it wont hurt my feelings or offend me because i think my friend is trying to pull a fast one for whatever reason.

you know soleeagle your more than likely right.oh well though i guess i should have went with my first hunch and that is to get rid of all of these projects and just get my hands on a halfway decent and driveable blazer....i have kids so i need the extra seating just incase and scrap all of this truck madness.looks like the 78 parting out truck is going to the scrap after all because well no one is beating down my door to buy it.
