fuel line 71 1/2 ton 2wd I6
I've been trying to get prebent fuel lines for my truck. My original, after passing under the motormount tower, makes a simple 90 degree bend to point to the engine. The new one I got from a larger very reputable supplier is different from my original. It has a lot more complex bending where it goes under the tower and has a hook shape at the end. The supplier ensures me that what I got from them is correct and that they have nothing like my original. I'm not sure exactly sure where the clamp to the frame under the tower attaches to the line. Anyone have any pics?

Thought I'd give this a bump once just for good measure. I guess maybe fuel lines for a straight six are just not photogenic.

I will ask my dad to look at his I-6 71 GMC. It may take a while, and no pics. He doesn't have a PC.

The inline 6 fuel line is different than the V-8. Here is a picture of the Inline 6 and a V-8 fuel line placement. The V-8 placement may be a little off, because it was a custom made line and installed in the Panel witch was an original inline 6. However it is bent back toward the engine just like the original. Also the inline 6 has 1/4" fuel line where the V-8 has 3/8". WES

Wes, I think you meant to say the L6 line is 5/16".

Re: fuel line 71 1/2 ton 2wd I6
The pic of the L6 fuel line looks like the one I had on my 71 originally, but InlineTube says that is not like the pattern they have for 67-70 or for 71-72. I got one for a 71-72 from them, but it is ALOT different.
I think I've attached the pic from them of what they have. Now I just have to figure out how the thing is supposed to attach at the fuel line clamps on the frame. Every other line I've ever gotten from them has been fantastic. This one has me stumped. |
