Re: new 250 installed!!!

Man that looks great!!! What all did you do to the engine? What kind of paint did you use? I have a inline 6 in my 84 and have considered keeping it in the truck.

Re: new 250 installed!!!

it is a 13,000 original mile 67 250 engine so just all new gaskets and seals, new fuel pump,waterpump,etc... i used high temp enigine enamel chevy orange de1620 (from autozone/orieleys)and a semi gloss black for all the black pieces.
i kept the inline 6 for fuel mileage and the fact it is just a parts truck for hauling stuff back and forth to swaps wont be hauling any cars on trailers etc...

Re: new 250 installed!!!

Looks fantastic!!! Great look and clean appearance. Not sure if still true but was a time when re-building a 250 was more costly than a sb 350.

Re: new 250 installed!!!

Dig the detail on the engine! Looks great! Got 247K on my 78 250 and still runs strong. Worked it hard for years hauling toys to the desert. Love me a 250.

Nice job!
