I have used a few with minimal success. There are a few powered ones for dresser type motorcycles that seem to work pretty well.

Re: Hidden Radio Antenna?

I tried one that costed me about 70 dollar. It is already in the garbage right now. Completely useless.

Re: Hidden Radio Antenna?

I will add my name to those that are looking for 1 as I will be pretty soon. Brothers & Classic Parts both have them for $40,BUT I have no input on these. I have seen trucks with the regular antenna that they put behind the cab, looks good. Howard

Re: Hidden Radio Antenna?

I had the antenna hole shaved on my truck with the idea that I was not going to listen to anything other than my ipod thru the radio but of course I wanted radio stations so the antenna we took off we layed it under the dash fully opened and tied it to the dash panel, lord and behold I can hear any station as clear as possible I dont have a stupid antenna outside and best of all I just recycled my own. You would never know is there unless you looked under there and looked for it as it is not easily seen.
If anyone is intyerested in seeing how we attached it let me know and I will shoot a pict.

Re: Hidden Radio Antenna?

I am using a Tune Trapper hidden antenna in my CST and in my C20. I have hidden stereo systems in both trucks. The antennas are mounted behind the drivers seat and they both work great. My stock antenna is still hooked to my stock in dash radios. Others might sell them but I got mine on Ebay....just search for Tune trapper....I like them.

Re: Hidden Radio Antenna?

Radio... what's that???

Between MP3's, iPod and CD's, I never listen to the radio.

Well to keep this on topic, on my last '68, I shaved the fuel filler and frenched in a power antenna. No mast sticking up unless I was using the radio (CD's, it was down). Something to think about.

Re: Hidden Radio Antenna?

On my trucks I used (1) a universal antenna from Wal Mart (72' C10) and (2) an antenna out of a 96' Camaro (67' K10) and mounted both to my frame rail (drivers side, ran the cable out the firewall and down with the speedo cable to the frame) and havent had any problems with it. I use my Sirius radio through an FM channel all the time.....

Re: Hidden Radio Antenna?

I tried one and it sucked. It was basically a $10 wire that you run under the dash. Maybe the more expensive ones actually work.
