I love my Mar-k tailgate skin. Which one did you get?

Here is mine.

I got the plain one. Do you spot weld it down the sides on the front of the panel?

Mine was not spot welded on the side. The body shop glued the edges. They used clamps while the glue dried. The spot welds are on the top. I don't remember if there are spot welds on the bottom. I can take pictures if you want some. Did you buy their tailgate handle relocator too? I like it. Pricey though.

I used a Sir Micheals filler when I did my tailgate, and NO welding. I went down to my local GM lot and went to the body shop and picked up some of the GM body glue like they use to hold the door hinges on all the new cars. Layed a bead of that all the way around ant put my filler piece on, then I put weight on it and let it set for about 3 days. Absolutely no warping and it will NEVER come off.

I'm going to have to check into this glue. Sounds like a much better way to do it. Yes, I did get the Mar-K handle relocator. Very nice and cheaper in the long run because I needed a new handle too.
