Got A 1 Ton Today.

Had at least 1 good option (FS TILT) and a color combo that I've never seen ( NOT MY FAVORITE EITHER). The 350 had been taken out and replaced with what I thought was a 307 (small balancer), but checked the code and it has a sb 400. Turned out to be a decent deal after all.

Re: Got A 1 Ton Today.

That red w/blue interior sounds like a COPO combination.I have seen an orange truck C10 with an oxblood/maroon interior that was COPO.Probably for fleet use.

No, it could be a multitude of things. COPO stands for Central Office Production Order. Basically it's going above and beyond the "normal" ordering process of just ordering options that are offered to the general public.

That thing looks pretty loaded up for a 1 ton with the tilt and A/C. Nice find there.

Re: Got A 1 Ton Today.

the SPID says nothing about COPO...these were assembly line options included on the truck assembly line... no need for COPO.
COPO is for RPO that would NOT be included on the assembly line of that vehicle.
Doesn't Dean up an canada have a red burb with blue int?

Re: Got A 1 Ton Today.

A friend of mine just got a 67 1 ton with a 292, SM402, and a 5.14 POSI. Even still has the cool posi sticker on the drivers side door.

Did these things ever come with a fleet or step bed from the factory????

Re: Got A 1 Ton Today.

I'll bet a dollar to a donut that it was a company truck who used red and blue as their principal corporate colors. I too would be very intersted in the truck if you sell it. I don't care about the bed , the engine and trans or the tilt column. I would however want the glove box door with it.

As most of you know I'm rescuing / rebuilding a 72 hauler right now but I'd like to build one a little different when this one is back on the road. The color combination interests me because I really want to do a red , white and blue theme.

I'll build the next one 454 big block , auto with a drive on bed like this one but I'll change a few things on the bed.

Let me know what you do with it, Dean

Re: Got A 1 Ton Today.

Careful, I drove the Ford up on the Chevy just to see how everything fit. I don't swear any allegiance to any brand, but it is not beyond me to Ford power a Chevy. I've done it before to a 67 c-10 with a Ford 429 Interceptor and a C-6 with a disc brake 9 inch. It looked like it was born in that truck and all of my bowtie buddies went nuts. Dean
