If I were to get a digi, I'd go for a Sony. I liked them the best, although that may not be the general consensus. A few of my friends and my government teacher in HS used Sonys and got good results.

I just bought an HP Photosmart 320. True it only has 2.1 MP image quality, but has an internal 4X digital zoom. The best part of it, it only cost $90 plus tax at office depot. I have taken a lot of photos with it and posted pics on this board and a V.W. parts board, and am very happy with the quality. It depends on your intended use. Much like a new computer with 80 mega-bits of memory, you have to ask yourself...do I really need the best/highest cost, or will a lower priced unit do what I need it to do.

We just got a fuji finepix 3800. It will go up to 4 megpix and has a 6x zoom. I really like it.

Yes....No Maybe....
oh I'm just not good under pressure....think I'll give it to #6 and see what she says after the research is completed...should take about 10 years...she has a lot on her plate right now... Decide what your main use is going to be for it (sending photo's over the net, printing them for a family album etc.....) Then compaire the features, including price, and go with the one that fits the main use better.....might find a cheaper one that fits just as well......

I have a sony mavica, been using it for about 4 years now.
I like it because it uses a standard floppy disk in it. I never run out of memory that way. Carry extra floppys in my case. Then when I get home they go straight into the computer. No downloads. I've taken over 5000 pics with this..............every time I take things apart if theres any question of how it came apart or how it was before dissasembly
