signal light problem
i recently purchased a 1983 Chevy C-30 with a 6.2 diesel. I need info on what could be the problem with the signal light. The signal lights will work at times and not work at other times. I replaced the Flasher and that did not fix the problem. I need info on how to fix the the problem or where to test to figure out where the problems at.

Re: signal light problem
Start with the easy & less expense things. Check and/or replace turn signal bulbs. Also check your turn signal sockets. From there check for a bad or loose ground. A bad ground can cause all kinds of goofy things with the lights.
I had an issue too with the turn signals, mine turned out to be a bad socket (marker light in the front bumper). I replaced both. And I also had a bad ground on the drivers side front harness. Someone had put a regular bolt in for a ground, instead of a ground bolt. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=664520 |

Re: signal light problem
start with the ground wires on the rad supports,to the lights.
I've seen if the big batt ground gets old,the power can burn out/bake the small gauge

Re: signal light problem
Mine was a bad ground wire connection in the turn signal socket up front.
