17° = bad day

Brrr... It was a whopping 17° when I got up this morning (-8° for our brothers not in 'The States'). Yeah, I know you Canadians don't think that's cold, but it's too early for 17° for me!

I found out I didn't have enough antifreeze mixed in with the water in my Suburban. By the time I got part way down the mountain, I saw that I was overheating. I pulled over and went to put it in park, and the stinking column broke! I can shift between the gears, but I can't pull it back to get it in park (well, I can pull it back, but whatever it's supposed to move when I do broke).

It all thawed out (eventually), and I made my commute. I hope no cast iron cracked...

The joys of winter. I'm looking forward to spring!

It gets to -25° (-32°C) at my house (not every winter, but at least every other winter).

Of course, I'm not in the desert part of AZ. I live at about 8000'.

Weenies. LOL

We usually have about a week of -20 to -25 weather here in South Dakota. I think we are part of the artic circle or something. Then if the wind picks up, -100 wind chills are not uncommon.
We'll usually see this around Jan or Feb. Last winter was pretty decent and we did not have a lot of really cold weather.

More kids are "made" around here in the winter, cause we're all inside staying warm
