Front hard brake lines on a 72
So, the drivers side flare nut is 7/16 and the pass side flare nut is 3/8. How? I have new flex lines but the pass side nut is too small. Anyone got a fix?
Thank you!!!!

Re: Front hard brake lines on a 72
The left side L shaped line is backwards? I just replaced all the lines on my 72 and was thrown off with a red fitting on the L shaped line. I made the rubber flex line connections first at the caliper and then at the anchor point using the clip to lock it into position. The union is 3/8 and the 7/16 attaches to the line.

Re: Front hard brake lines on a 72
Now you have me wondering if the flex lines are made like that so we dont put the right side on the left? I just went out and looked, the left side is 7/16 and the right side is 3/8...I think they do that so we dont install those banjo fittings wrong and chance tearing a flex line.?

The O'Reilly website lists the right side hose as having a 3/8 fitting.
https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c...ake+hose&pos=2 The left side is listed as 7/16". https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c...ake+hose&pos=3 |
