67 Fans, Look What I Found!
I found a beutiful, no B.S. 37k original 67 C-10 today and struck a deal with the owner to buy it. I wish it were a 72, but this thing is so original and in great shape that I couldnt pass it up.
It has a couple minor flaws like two very small rust spots in the rockers, and a small ding in the passenger rear panel, but even the bed still has all the original paint and the floor and supports etc. are perfect. The only options were the heater, rear H.D. spring, and something else that I cant remember. It is of course a I-6 ( 250 ) with the 3 -spd. A sweep out and wax job is about all it will take to make it really slick. I figure someone out there is drooling about now. OT |

Re: 67 Fans, Look What I Found!
The green ones seem to live forever. It reminds me of when I got my 1970 with 42,000 original miles. Only difference is the year was 1983 and I was 14.

Re: 67 Fans, Look What I Found!
Actually my first one was a 67, but it had quite a few miles on it and come to think of it I believe that was in the year 1982 or 3.
I have just always had an eye for originals, especially 72's but this little gem is so incredibally nice that if nothing else I will find the appropriate home for it. What I paid for it was more than $3k and less that $4k. I cant spill all the beans in case someone who has been dying to buy one like this sees it and we come to an agreement. Everyone is entitled to make a couple of bucks aye? OT |

Re: 67 Fans, Look What I Found!
Incredible find! I'm big 72 fan, but a truck that clean would be very difficult to pass up.
How do you sleep at night paying "more than $3k and less that $4k"? You might as well have stole it from the PO. My first truck was 71 c-20 with coil springs, 250 6cyl and "three on the tree." Loved it...but it couldn't get out of it's own smoke. Congrats!

Re: 67 Fans, Look What I Found!
Thanks for more great comments everyone!
I almost forgot. The hubcaps arent the originals, but you 67 folks already knew that. I am going to have to search for a set of the painted 67 dog dish caps with the orange trim. The full 69-7? caps that are on it are great and I will eventually use them on some other project, but imagine this thing with the black wheels and the original little dog dish caps. I think there is one like it in the original sales literature, same color and all. Have I got that correct? The higher line trucks would have had matching paint color on the wheels but the standard series truck had black wheels?????? OT |

Re: 67 Fans, Look What I Found!
I'll get a picture of them together for you Med. Green fans but I can's hardly wait to see the two parked side by side. I think the colors are different from 67 to 72 arent they. I repainted my 72 as close to the original as i could match and I think it is a bit darker.

Re: 67 Fans, Look What I Found!
beard in the puddle.... I am LOL. That is hilarious!
Thanks for the compliment Jack! I will get everyone some more photo's once I get a chance. Even under the hood is awesome. I think someone touched uop a couple of spots on the core support with black paint and the valve cover gaskek must have been replaced and vavle cover repainet orange but it is all stock under the hood minus the carb. I guess that it went bad from the sitting around and surely not the 1k miles per year average it tallied up. OT |

Ozark, Good lookin truck. Looks like the much nicer twin to the one i just picked up! Here is a pic of the hubcaps in chrome. Wish i had a nice set of the painted ones for ya.
What is the color code on your truck? Mine reads "special". Looks like #503 sea-foam green to me. Sweet ride!

Re: 67 Fans, Look What I Found!
Wow! 37k miles... She's just broke in. Super nice find. The first chevy I had was a '67 swb stepside painted that same color. I noticed that the interior is painted the same as the body color. I think most '67's had fawn inside the cab. Check the firewall (engine side) to see if anything is scribbled on there from the factory. It's cool when that survives the test of time. BTW how much for the sunvisors.
