There are a ton of dually pics in the "Where are the 1 tons?" thread. Also many pics in the "Lets see some 73-87 work horses" thread.

I hadn't seen that one before. "Where are the 1 tons?" Seems like there are more 67-72 duallys in that thread than the square body ones. Haven't seen the other thread either.
Thanks |

This one belongs to a friend of mine. I may be buying it from him in December. 1976 Silverado, Camper Special, 454, Auto, and A/C. The only bummer part is he sold the original tailgate and put on a expanded metal or mesh replacement tailgate.

My friend is going to be holding off on buying a new truck for now, so he will be hanging on to his old dually for a while longer. Oh well, I guess I will have to wait a while. Last edited by Texasdeere; 11-19-2008 at 10:54 PM. |

Re: Let's see some 73-87 1 Ton Dually Pictures!
hey guys heres my 87 454 it was a custom with wood grain everywhere and overhead console with lights and bucket seat like a conversion van, it also came with brush guard and running boards. i think they call em texas haulers or somthing like that but i think it looked a little south of the boarder especially that paint job. the second pic is after i got busy with the spray paint.

Second pic is definitely better.
Even though it may look like mine does up close(obvious rattle can primer job) it's still better! |

Re: Let's see some 73-87 1 Ton Dually Pictures!
All 3 of them had the 400 sb/T400 setup. The Colonial Yellow 77 had 4.10 gears and the 79/80 trucks had 3.73's. The 77 remained as a full time 203/4wd. The 79 I installed an S.A.E. Part Time conversion with Husky Selectro hubs. The 1980 was equipped with a 205 and factory Spicer Lockouts. I ordered all 3 with 7.50-16 tube type tires,(standard was tubeless 16.5 from factory), inside bed spare carrier,(I used the Jackman Grill Guard on the 77,then 79 to carry the spare since I used to haul a camper and pull a horse trailer), and the 77/79 both had wood floor beds. The 88 I still own is a 454/400/205 with 3.73 gear. My current 1988 V30 could be bought. |
