rear end swap?
My rearend gears or whining in my 72 1/2 ton so I was thinking about swapping in a rearend from a late model truck, say early 90's. Will they fit and does anyone sell the mounts to weld on?

Re: rear end swap?
yeah, ECE sells the saddles for around $30, but the tubes may be bigger than stock
Ive heard of people swapping 73-87 rearends by welding saddles on

Re: rear end swap?
The stock 12 bolt has 3" tubes, so if what you are replacing it with has the same size tubes, you should do ok on the aftermarket mount kit mentioned above. You might check the widths also....you can "fudge " a little on that, assuming you arent running really wide wheels/big tires(1" either way, per side can be workable). crazyL
