Finally bought a truck...whew...
Well, finally found a decent project for the money (I think) and bought it. She's rough but better than every other one I've looked at around here. Was looking for something cheap with a "decent" body and frame, not too concerned with the drivetrain at the moment.
'68 1/2 ton longbed 6cyl. 3sp. Needs floors, cabcorners, rockers, etc. rusty bedfloor... but I think she's a good start I paid $600 for her, does run and drive, just smokes bad on start-up I'm just happy to finally have something to start on |

Re: Finally bought a truck...whew...
thanks guys, I've only owned VWs for the past 17 years, but really got bite by the 67-72 c-10 bug lately, there's just something about the body style that I really like
Im ready to get her home and start tearing into the project (the truck was a craigslist find and is about 35 miles from my house and needs to be trailered home) |

Re: Finally bought a truck...whew...
well the fan has worn through the radiator, so probably better to bring her back to the house before I get it running lol plus there's a really big hill/mountain (steep grade) between here and there, so probably wouldn't be the best place to test the brake system ha ha

Re: Finally bought a truck...whew...
congrats on the truck. Nice price too. You got me thinking, I paid a lot more for my truck, and after I'm done with it, the only thing that will be left from the original purchase will be the frame, rear, and bedsides. My poor wallet!
