WTB stepside tailgate DFW area
Needing a stepside tailgate for a '73 chevrolet preferrably in the DFW area. I think they were the same from '55 to 86??? It needs to be in pretty good shape. My truck is being painted and they told me mine couldn't be fixed good enough to look right. Afew small dents wouldn't be a problem. I would like to get it ASAP so it can be painted with the truck.
Thanks, Mike |

Man, that sounds real good but I was wanting to go back original. I would really like to have one with the lettering on it. Thanks anyway.

I have one that is in real good shape. Only a couple of dings in it. I think it may have been a take off. I was going to use it for my 55 Project. but I want a smooth gate. I don't have pictures, but you are welcome to come and see it. I live just North-east of Dallas in Wylie. About 10 minutes from Plano. I'll take 50 bucks for it.
just let me know.

Mike it was nice to meet you. I hope you didn't have to wait to long for us to ge there. Traffic around the stadium was murder. I hope the gate works out for you and I would eally like to see this truck after you get it back from the paint shop.
BTW, anyone who might want to know. mike is a good person and a great horse trader. I would not hesitate to deal with him again on parts. Thanks again Mike, Pics when you get a chance please.
