Has Anyone ever use Lowering Blocks ?
want to drop my truck and thinking about using lowering blocks .. my truck is leaf spring and is a C20 3/4 Ton ... if you have which manufacture world you recommend

Since you have leaf springs look into drop shackles. I believe CPP carries them:

Blocks are used to lower a coil spring truck.

generally blocks are used for leaf springs. I have no idea on the c10since I have coil springs but if I had to guess I'd say you could. shackles are just as good.

The inherent issue here is that your leaf springs are atop the axle housing. If you put a block in there with longer u bolts, you will be raising your truck.
The only time blocks lower a leaf spring vehicle is when the axle is on top of the springs like most cars and mini trucks. Posted via Mobile Device |

im not as smart as you guys lol thats why i asked... thanks alot haha im just trying to do it the easy way thanks LED and TX ! i wanted to drop it more then 2" tho i have some 20" rims on it .. i seen that the Shackles only go up to 2" ( the ones i found )

I think I have heard people on here talk about flip kits. Is that something he could use for his leaf springs? I don't know anything about them, maybe that is more involved... LockDoc

You can remove a couple of the leaf springs to lower it as well.

Leon, absolutely. All a flip kit is is a pair of axle saddles that allow you to remove the axle from below the springs and put it atop them. You can buy them commercially or make your own. I usually just buy generic axle saddles from Summit and weld them in place. It's a way to lower your truck 5-6 inches and spend anywhere from 10 to 100 dollars depending on which parts you choose.

Leon, here is one I did last week. Notice the original spring pads are on top of the axle and I've added new ones underneath it and placed the axle on top of the leaf spring pack. In this picture I hadn't welded them to the axle yet. Since I'm cheap and make my own flip kit, I had to figure and set the pinion angle then weld it in place to the axle. Commercial kits have the engineering built in and require only bolting into place. But mine cost 12 bucks compared to five or eight times that amount for a commercial made one.
