Emergency Brake Cables
For those who have upgraded to a later ('73-'87) rear end, what did you do for an emergency brake (notably, cables)?
I'm asking this because my '79 12-bolt has short e-brake cables due to it originally being a leaf spring rear end. Will a cable set from a '67-'72 half-ton work? I will need to build a trapeze linkage (1 cable in, 2 cables out to the rear end) because I have completely changed the entire drivetrain and crossmembers and although I used mostly factory parts from different years, nothing is in the stock 1964 configuration.

I am going to have to do this as well. Plan on doing something like azdeltawye did in this thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=624445 , see Post 6

Re: Emergency Brake Cables
Thanks, Woog! That's exactly the information I was looking for. I use your guide all of the time, and I don't know why I didn't check there first.
