67' Bed/bench
Well I acquired this BEAT old 67' bed and decided it'd be cool to cut the back off and make it into a bench. Almost done just need to make legs, put a bumper on it and wire up the lights. And then throw some clear over it so I don't turn blue when I touch it. I saved all the cross sills from the bed also so if anyone needs them.

Re: 67' Bed/bench
I like what you did with the truck bed, real cool idea!
On another note, please don't sell items in the message board. Start a new ad in the parts board and have a price you want for the parts. |

Re: 67' Bed/bench
Some pics of the backside, all I did was turn the front panel around and weld it to the back. Had to trim here and there but it probably only took me a half hour to get it done. Also got the legs on it! It'll need to be bolted down wherever it goes as it is very front heavy. Just need to put a bumper on it and wire up the lights.

Re: 67' Bed/bench
Well, I've got another one that's in decent shape. Couldn't have cut it up.

Re: 67' Bed/bench
when a part is damaged to the point that it would cost more to repair than it costs to buy a replacement, it's lived its life. it's nice to see these parts being recycled and enjoyed rather than going to scrap!

Re: 67' Bed/bench
It would be even cooler if you upholstered it but it does not appear to have enough depth to accommodate upholstery. Tuck and roll leather that appears when you fold down the tailgate would be so great. I could see a eating establishment doing this in their waiting area. Could become a money maker for someone.
