I need a quick answer how much should a good 305 / 327 cost

$500 and up or what i have no idea...

the 327 would be better than a 305 and more than likely has more h.p.
are we talking new used?
any engine that run's and don't smoke would be worth 250.00 and up used
i would have to regasket every thing and install a new water pump at least, and then i might even check the t-chain when i was that close
before i just put it in.
i hate doing things twice
cost are different state to state..here you can find 350's all day long
try to find one in tenn.
here the car rust out before the engine dies
tenn the engine dies long before the car rust

both are used

the 327 is in parts and out of an 66 impala engine gas been rebuild asking price $500 CND

the 305 is complete and out of an 86 camaro engine was rebuild 30,000 km ago asking price $500 CND and that includes the engine stand its on

500 for an unassembled engine seems a bit high, same with a 305.

I just paid 350 bucks for a assembled, good running 350 here
