Heater hoses.....
Does anyone have pics of the 2 hoses that come from your heater box? I need to know where they go to. 1 of them goes to a sensor on my intake but where does the other go?

On my 71 blazer, the top one goes to the top of the intake manifold and the other goes to the top passengers side port on the radiator.

I don't have a port on the side of my rad for the second hose. I have a plug in the top of the water pump on this 350 and it looks like there should be a hose go onto there. HELP!?!?!?

It should go to the side if the waterpump...right above the radiator hose

I know the one on the intake is for one of the hoses, but i think the other goes where that plug is on top of the water pump.

This does not show it too good because a fan blade is partially in the way but, here's how it should go

See! What did I tell you about not following the manufacturers recommended installation? See! I told you so! If you'd done it by the book it'd be done now! No fuss no muss. Now you're f__ked
Seriously, can't help ya now. Maybe with that pump they were figuring you'd have a place to connect on the radiator?

This engine is from an 82 Chevy van. So it wouldn't go where that plug is on the top pic I posted? It also goes into the water pump?

You can take your rad to a shop and they could install the fitting you need. Most should have the stuff on hand, and it'll only cost a few bucks. Figure one hr of labor.
Can't go without heat up there. |

That one may be too. Anyway I don't think it matters too much as the pump is pushing it through no matter what.

There are two main styles of chevy water pumps. The older short pump will have the port on it for the return of the heater core. the newer long pump setup dumped into the radiator for return. Problem is if you go to a short pump none of your brackets will work, they are different.

Hey dubbie, That plug was right on top of your water pump right? On mine, it used there used to be one out of the top of the water pump and one out of the manifold. Like someone else said, I don't think it matter that much which hoses go where though. Good luck.

OK, a buddy of mine just bought a 69 long fleet tonight and it has a 305 in it with the same set up. And YES , I can remove that plug on the top of the water pump and run the 2nd hose through there. Finally my mind is set at ease. Thanks for all the great info guys
