Vent window question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I've searched but didn't really see a answer. Does the rubber on the outside bottom of the vent window go inside the door. I can't seem to get it to work on the outside of the door. Pictures would be great!

I have some original 72 doors off my motor home and they are like that.
