Original paint, very straight, not bowed, rust free (excluding surface rust) tailgate. It has 2 or 3 “superficial “ dings and 2 small holes drilled at the bottom (see pics). The truck this came off of had a camper on it most of the time, so the tailgate spent most of its life in a shop. If I did not have a NOS tailgate I would use this on my project truck. I am going to post several pics because this is sort of a big $ item. $600 shipped to the lower 48. Money order preferred, but could do pay pal. If interested please respond here in thread. PM’s will not be considered when it comes to interest.

Richard, we appreciate your comment. Dennis you are right... when we look at a really nice tailgate we compare the bottom with the rear cross member of the bed when the gate is closed and this one is absolutely straight as an arrow, second we look at the top edge as most of them have dents and dings...this is perfect. Very nice solid gate

Paul,,, I would like to buy this gate,,,, but just need this question answered... It needs to be Med Blue. In one picture it looks to be Medium blue and in another it looks like a shade of green. And in another picture it looks like a metallic blue.

I need med blue or at least a close shade of that color,,, I'm not wanting to paint my truck anytime soon.... Let me know...

Yes it does help... I looked up a color chart for 1969 and it is not anywhere close to the color Med Blue. Paul thanks,,,, but I'll have to pass.... I really need a tailgate but I'm going to hold out and hope to find a Med Blue in color.

Turquoise Poly is the color, and it is on the color charts as a GMC only color, but I have seen 2 69 chevys that color with original paint. Just curious if you had any interior parts from the truck that was this color. They used a teal or aqua color that is not a reproduction available color.

I will look at the interior and let you know what it has. This is a nice straight original truck with 100% factory paint but we have given some thought to parting out.

Unfortunately I have a repop gate that doesn't say Chevrolet. It actually is just blank but it's in stupid condition. So for right now I will keep what I have and hopefully make a trade + cash down the road. Also a pleasure speaking with you though Paul! Have a great Labor Day Weekend!
