How to remove ashtray frame?
I bought a new complete ashtray for my truck and am wondering how the best way to remove it is? Looks like the frame is tack welded is a few spots? Is the best thing to do just to grind off the welds and then retack the new one or am I missing something here?
Thanks

Re: How to remove ashtray frame?
I think 67 was the only spot welded ashtray frame. I think the others have phillips head screws. (68-72) I am sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong.

Re: How to remove ashtray frame?
My 72 was screwed in (I think), definately not welded.
We're talking the frame that the ash tray slides in right, not some supports attached to the dash? |

Re: How to remove ashtray frame?
I can't see any screws anywhere. I was kinda shocked. I didn't expect to see welds.
