Fuel Cell foam!!
Does this foam brake up at all? Would it start coming down the fuel lines?
How long should you run a fuel cell before changing it out? Mines getting old and stinky!

I have heard that those foam inserts do infact break down after a while. If you are planning on buying a fuel cell, I'd reccommend spending a bit more and get a tank that has some baffles in it and never look back rather than having to change fuel cells out all the time...

I've had the foam in my race car for at least 10 years. No issues yet.

I have heard that it does but nobody said they have seen it happen and have to replace it. It would mainly happen with high octane gas.
I got my cell with foam. Let you know it there are any problems in the next 10-15 years. Later,

Ya I've been running 94 sunnoco and it seems to kill it each winter.
I think It;s SS fuel cell time with baffles. Thanks again.

I have it in my tank, but its only 1 month old. My friends at the circle track have told me they have never had a problem with it. Could it be the temp. up north. Maybe the foam that is in the dry stage may freeze and cause a break down from the cycle of temp changes.
