New Wheels
I finally got these Cragar 390 Series wheels last Saturday. They had ordered the wrong backspace, I waited 3 weeks for the right ones, then discovered that the fronts were the wrong backspace as well. I took a second look at the ones originally ordered for the back and found that they were the correct backspace for the front. Confused? Another added bonus is that they are all four 17 X 9's and they make the 50 Series tires look less "bulbous" than the original 17 X 8's did. No more polishing cast aluminum wheels.

Re: New Wheels
Very Nice! I like them! How much is your drop 2/4? spindle? What was the backspacing on your rims front and back? I need to get some soon myself. Thinking about either 17's or maybe 18's with a 2/4 drop. Is yours 5 or 6 lug?
Sure is hard to find cool reasonable rims with 6 lugs. |

Re: New Wheels
Looks great! No more polishing cast aluminum.Forged and billet wheels are easier to polish and keep that way.

Re: New Wheels
It's funny that those wheels, and your old ones are the only ones that I really like on these trucks. Looks killer Dave. Love the stance.

Re: New Wheels
that's the real question, now, isn't it? i should have measured them when they were just out of the box. like i said, you have to know whether you want positive or negative backspacing in millimeters. i am sure somebody here knows all about it. anyone?anyone? bueller? bueller?

Re: New Wheels
If I'm not mistaken Cragar only offers the 9" wheel with 4.75" bs. It may be 5" too, I'm not sure exactly.
Dave, what size tires and what drop?

Re: New Wheels
Drop in front is 2" dropped spindles with 2-1/2 dropped springs for a 4-1/2 inch drop. The back is done with 4-inch dropped springs. The tires are 255-50 and 275-50. I have fallen in love with this truck all over again.
