Speedometer cable lubrication

What do you use to lubricate the speedometer cable?

Thanks

Re: Speedometer cable lubrication

speedometer cable lube/ sold in auto parts stores is a dry graphite based product// you need to take the inner cable out of the housing then spray wd-40 down thru the housing to clean out crap then as you install the cable in the housing coat it with the cable lube

Re: Speedometer cable lubrication

I pull the assy apart and flush out the housing with carb cleaner and brake clean Then I lube the cable with anti-seize.
