Talking My FREE new truck

I spotted this in town at the local foreign auto repair place . It's a 72 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4. The guy owns Chevys but repairs Honda's for a living. Anyway, he had pulled the engine and the PO wanted to keep the rear end. I got what was left for FREE. It was going to the crusher. It still has TH350/Np205, both driveshafts. PS gearbox, shift linkage, and D44 disk brake FE. It's original and intact right down to the split rims! I'm keeping the parts as spares for my 72 GMC. She'll be going under the "knife" Saturday. I'll just have to wear my Boz-All costume one more day!

Here she is in all here glory!

It looks like your free truck would be easier to fix up than my free burb!

Sounds like a good deal to me.

It takes imagination to customize a vehicle but it takes "vision" to tackle a "project". Maybe you, I, and Gee Emm can start a "Yes, we can!" club.

Jeff,

With a little money and time we could restore your truck back to stock. Probably could not make it numbers matching though.

We will have to see if Gee Emm is available.

Jim,

Nice burb!

Your yard and house brings back memories for me. I grew up in a place just like it in Battle Creek. Amazing how different the housing out here in the west is than that in the east.

Sorry for steering away from the topic. Never had noticed from your previous posts you were from Kentwood.

WOW!!!! I DON'T EVER WANT TO HEAR ANY REMARKS FROM YOU ABOUT ME PARTING A PERFECTLY GOOD VEHICAL AGAIN!!
(ON ANOTHER NOTE) THIS WEEKEND I PULLED THE FRONT CLIP OFF OF MY TOWTRUCK (WHILE REPLACING THE ENGINE & CLUTCH) & TOOK ALL THE PERFECTLY GOOD SHEETMETAL TO THE CRUSHER (INCLUDING THE GRILL) CAUSE I ALREADY HAVE SEVERAL OF EACH. (I'M REPLACING THE 69 CLIP WITH A 67 CLIP)
