Smile Truck Seats

I have a 72 Chevy C10. I want to replace the seat as I have now relocated the gas tank to the rear of the truck bed on the bottom. I believe there is a set out there than can fit without drilling any holes or sticking out too much that they will be up against the door when closed. Any help is greatly Appreciated

Re: Truck Seats

I have a 92 Silverado seat in my 68 C10 truck, Its fits fine, perfect dimensions, I also have the shoulder harness and center seat belts out of the same truck, my truck already had the hole for the top of the harness, I just had to find a bolt, My father in law has a 2003 GMC Single cab , that has the Wide Center armrest and cub holders, I plan to find one of those in a dark grey. I need to measure, but I think it will fit\ the same.

Re: Truck Seats

Thank you for the help out. I have a lot of friends who said this and that will fit only to drill holes and make the floor pan swiss cheese. Plus the door was slamming into the seats and making a accordian out of the ends.

Happy Trucking to you

Re: Truck Seats

This is what I did,

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=368266

It was an easy install and fit fine with the gas tank inside, and I wanted shoulder harnesses

Re: Truck Seats

the fuel tank should never get in the way of any seat. The seat hits the wall under the window, not the tank.
I am not aware of any seat that is an actual bolt in piece, other than what was made for it.

Re: Truck Seats

I am almost positive I was able to use the holes already there with the 92 seat, I don't remember drilling holes. I am pretty sure I would remember that, and there is no issue with the door hitting the seat, I have not checked the newer seats length yet.

Re: Truck Seats

With a little bit of modification any seats will fit, but if you want to do less as possible I would look at the dodge seats I used. I did a install thread, If I can find the linnk I will post it.
