Question Questions on using a 78 front brake setup

I have a 68 C-10 with full drums all the way around still, I've done a lot of looking around about using a front clip from a 73-87. So far the information that I have found is that I can use the control arms, outer tie rods, spindles, ball joints and it will all bolt up to my 68. I have a 78 donor front end. As I said before I have done tons of research for this but can not find a definite answer if this will work or not. Thanks for all your help in advance.
