Well, i guess i should start a build thread. lol... Bought this truck from a buddy who has had it sitting in his backyard for SEVERAL years... I've always bugged the family about selling it to me. Well, the day finally came. They had started some work on it, but stalled out. Here's what she looked like when i picked her up.

Re: '68 Patina Short Wide

Figured since we are doing an LS motor i need to throw a Boyds tank in the rear.... So, bed comes off... and a little power washing action.

Now it's time to test fit all the goodies.. I picked up some Speedhut gauges and made a new aluminum bezel.

Hello are you able to send a close up of the direction in which your CPP sliders face or just tell me if the angled side goes toward the front of the engine or back?

Thanks

Now we are ready for Media blast and new suspension... i've decided on going with a 5/7 static drop... so we took the truck to a buddies shop and he's going to do all the "fab" work for me... C-notch and all the new suspension stuff. then blast and paint.

If you don't mind me asking, what does the lower bracket do in relation to the stock brackets? I understand the upper.

It corrects the geometry of the shocks after dropping the suspension and the lower bracket increases the travel/length of shocks, otherwise they'd be pretty short shocks.

Re: '68 Patina Short Wide

Got the frame sand blasted this weekend. Went ahead and welded in the C Notch and cut holes for the exhaust in the cross-member. It's coming along nice. Going to try and paint it all today.
