I Need a Project Name
Ya'll need to help me out. Im planning on MAYBE doing a 2/3 or 2/2 or 2/4 drop. I cant decide yet. Im gonna take off the tires and use a jack to drop the truck and get side pics to see what each look like. Anyways....yeah....Any ideas? As far as paint i think im gonna go blue or black with blue underlights EVERYWHERE. Dash, body, seats, gauges, grille, ALL OF IT. lol. I want to glow blue. So yeah....how bout some names? Heres wut i got.
*edit* By the way the grille is no longer black....that got stripped last week. It nice n shiny now but needs a buffer taken to it. Last edited by 69C10@16; 12-04-2007 at 10:20 PM. Reason: I felt like it.....lol |

Re: I Need a Project Name
Check out that beautiful carb that me and dad put on to replace the "dripping all ove the motor" rochester 2 barrel. I love it. Look at the filter though.....i cant tell but i THINK thats oil thats seeping into it.....maybe fuel....anyone else ever seen this?

Re: I Need a Project Name
First thing you need to do is get rid of the motorcycle sized air cleaner and get one on there that will let that motor breath. Not sure on the filter contamination. I dont know much about Edelcrocks except they make nice decorations on shelves. Has the carb been flooded? Dont know where oil would come from to get on it.

Project Bluegrass.....I like it. I'd like summore choices though. I want to explore all possibilities. Sure the name is just an accessory for lack of better word but its still important.

Re: I Need a Project Name
I like chevy blue too. However, the pictured radio is not a Citizens Band radio. It is a 2meter amatuer radio. Difference? CB = Unlicensed & Amatuer = Licensed. You gotta take a test. Anyways. I do like the name though. Keep em comin. Thanks

Re: I Need a Project Name
slammed 70 - nice, i like
Special K - Electric Blue - another good consideration 1Ton - Its in the works. Only reason i left it was cuz right b4 the carb got replaced i bought a new filter for the 2 barrel which later started leaking. I figuredI'd let this filter waste its life and then put a large cleaner on it. To my knowledge i havent ever flooded it. But that doenst mean my dad didnt. wedgemon - Project Maybe would be a fitting name thats for sure. Anson0487 - Low glow is nice...a consideration for sure Sinister - Project Money pit is INDEFINATELY true. I bought the truck for 800 but have spent almost 2 grand on it after that. Not even sure how yet. Ive been going over records to find out. lol c10 addict - I like blue light special too. It will fit it when im done. very nice throw ins fellas. I appreciate it. It will probably end up being a mix up of these. Heck it may get ALL of them. lol. Now thats a long thread title. THANKS GUYS. Anymore will be gladly accepted! |

Re: I Need a Project Name
i thought about gray ghost BUT, one of my best friends uses that as his screen name on a lot of stuff because his last name is grey. So i'd look like a retard if i named my project that. At least to everyone here at school. It is a good idea though. Thanks

Re: I Need a Project Name
Got Blue?
re Edelbrock: I have never had any problems out of the 1405 or 1406 that I own, They are a good street carb and easy to rebuild. My truck looks aboiut the same, 3 coats of epoxy grey primer. If that is rattle can primer sand a little off and look at the rust starting to form. How bad is the grill chop? Mine is a '69 too and really want a '71-72 grille.
