Hubcap Question

Have noticed on the fullsize wheelcovers for 69-72 that the Chevy emblem in the center comes in 3 colors; red, blue or yellow. Anyone have any insight?

Re: Hubcap Question

Sounds 100% acurate.... red is 67/68, blue is 69 - 72, and yellow is 73 - what ever. (76-ish???)

Re: Hubcap Question

Interesting replies. Thanks very much. The 69-72 wheel covers that I have are bone stock and yes, have red bowties in them, and you can tell that they have not been tampered with. As a matter of fact, I have about 6 w/the red bowties that have been acquired from a variety of sources. That would certainly rule out some one doing a "custom" job on their set of 4.

Appreciate the '68 notes/pic from those of you who volunteered that unsolicited info.

Re: Hubcap Question

Are you saying your full wheelcovers are the 69-75 style that have the center piece that is bolted to the center from behind and not the type shown in the unsolicited picture with the smooth center and the bowtie stamped directly into the wheelcover? If so,got pics? The factory painted them. You or I can, too.I have.If they were painted years ago,it could look original. My paint looks original, but new.Trying to steer you straight and,you did ask.
