Grill change question

First time post here. If my question has already been answered (and likely it has!) just please direct me to that answer. I have a 71-72 vintage c-10 and really like the earlier style "single bar' grille from the 67-68 vintage truck. I have what I believe is a pair of earlier style fenders with one groove not two around the grille opening (was told they are earlier style fenders). Also, will be replacing the core support, so before I buy or source, I need to also know if I need a particular core support to install the early grille, use the single groove fenders and also, what hood do I need? I knew when I read GRILLE CHANGE QUESTION THIS IS WHAT IT WOULD BE LOL , we need a sticky with info on the 67 68 hood fenders and grille , & as always im flattered welcome !

To answer your question the 67 68 hood grille fenders and core support needs to be from a 67 or 68 the only difference in the hood is that 68 has a piece of trim on the lip , as far as I know the inner fenders are the same , also a note some dont think of is that 67 68 GMC hood and fenders will work also the 67 68 GMC core support will work too by changing to two headlight buckets

The hood is different on the 67-8 than the 69-72 models, the trim is there and that is A difference but the leading edge on the hood has more slope on the first two years than the 69 and newer. Jim

Yes 67 68 chevy or gmc will work
