I'm ready to get my exhaust done. I was just wondering if some of you could post pictures of how your exhaust exits on your stepsides...straight out back, squared behind rear tires, at an angle? I saw spmeones whose were angle and kinda turned down behind the rear tires. I'd like to check out the options before I lay down the money. Thanks.

There 5" homemade chrome tips off 3" exhast pipes, Gives it a deep bass rumble too

I went out and took some new pictures of the truck, you can see how mine exits (dumps behind rear tire) I took a lot of different angles so you can see them. I haven't taken any pictures of the new exhaust I realized, so this was a good excuse to take some pix

Frizzle, that is a sweet stepside. That is just the way I like 'em, a nice driver that looks sweet, but you don't have to worry about every little scratch on the paint.

Hey Dan, the best looking stepside exhaust I have ever seen was the one on here a little while back. It was an orange 68? step with Earnhardt painted on the tailgate. Anybody that saw it will remember it right away. I'll try to post some pics of that when I go back to work tomorrow. It was a wide, flat tip that was kinda recessed into the step on the side. I thought it looked cool.........Jerry

Mine has the pipes coming out on a 45 in front of the rear tires. It really sounds cool on a strech of road on my commute with concrete barriers on both sides of one lane, of course I have to gun it every time just to hear it!

Funny that you posted this because I just finished mine before I came in and sat down. Mine is the LMC kit and it went in pretty well once I figured where each piece went. I went with the glass pak set and like the sound and I think that the turbo set they sell would have been to quite after hearing mine. I did buy some chrome extensions for the ends and a few extra mounting pieces but other than that no problems. Mine is the side exit set. Anyway here are the pics.

Solver, I thought about doing that same thing. I did the ECE 2 1/2" dropped spindles on the front and the 4" drop coils on the back, so I was little concerned about how it would fit.

What I am really worried about is the headers. Mine are really close to my xmsn cooling lines and my starter, and they hang low. I thought about just buying ram horns from ECE, but I'm not sure about the porting. I have an '88 Vortec 350, and someone told me the exhaust ports on the heads are larger than the original small block 350. Anyone put ram horns on a newer engine?

Okay, some of you know I am changing from headers to ramhorns. I decided to order the dual exhaust system from LMC that SOLVER installed. It is actually made by HeartThrob Exhaust with mandrel bends. I called HeartThrob directly. They suggested I actually purchase it from LMC because LMC buys them in quantity and get a better price.

The only thing I am worried about is the 4" drop springs i have in the rear. Keep your fingers crossed.
