Question, why the long cut below the rear window instead of cutting it at the window lower corners?

How does one fit it it? My truck is normal height, and my head almost touches the roof of the cab.

Well, I'm 6' 3" and I've got plenty of headroom in the stock cab with factory bench seat. If I have any headroom trouble, I can always lower the seat a couple of inches.
