I was shown some pictures of the finished product. At least it survived the junk yard.

Re: Got my new seats Installed

Those look nice. Make sure to take pics of the install because I'd like to put in some seats like that one day.

Re: Got my new seats Installed

Right now I'm in the gathering stage. I'm trying to get all the parts I need to do a clean sweep on the rebuild. That way I don't have to wait on parts. After I get them installed I will put a link here to a new thread with the pics and how I did it.

If you ask me I got them from a '67 step side C10. But if you ask randomhero472 He is the one who got them first he might know. I think they are from a 2000 and up because I think my friends is a 99 and his don't have the cup holders.

Exactly what I have in my '05 2500HD. They're incredibly comfortable. But yours are backwards

Re: Got my new seats Installed

Also just got mine in. But these are out of a newer Dodge. Not to hijack the thread, but they turned out great and seemed to fit really well. Now if only the Dodge stuff had cupholders in the console!

Ok.... I've been looking @ these for a while now after riding in a co-workers 05 Ram. His are the cloth/vinyl 40/20/40 & were pretty comfortable.

What was the install like?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

No problem. Look like you were busy. When I got home I just pulled in the garage and parked it. Made my wife park outside because after I ate and sat down for a few I had to go to work. I'll take them out of the bed tomorrow.

Re: Got my new seats Installed

The install was very easy. In fact, I put the seats in and drilled them right there and didn't even have to pull them out again. I looked at the top for reference of where the new hole was in relation to the old and then crawled underneath and drilled them both so they would line up nicely. I am still going to put a couple more bolts in the center section, as I only now have two on each side like the stocker and since the belts are attached to the seats, it's sort of key to have them solidly in there!

The holes in the dodge seats don't line up with anything, so sort of pick where you want the holes to be and go at it.

So you were able to use the Dodge 40/20/40 seat framework w/the 67-72 floorpan w/o issue? Any pics that show the top of the seat-back in relation to the rear window? Any other pics?

Sorry about that.....

I would go w/the Chevy seats but I don't care for the integrated seat belt because it means a mandatory taller headrest.

I like the top of the seats to be flush w/the bottom of the back window on (a big window truck) so that means original buddy buckets or the very similar Dodge ram style. The benefit w/the late model Dodge seats that I've had experience w/is the headrests can easily come on/off (off for the shows/cruises; on for the long distance travels).

Seats look good. I have a set sitting in the garage but am not sure if I want those or my bench seat.

Re: Got my new seats Installed

Everyone has what they like. I like the taller headrest Because my friend was rear ended in a 80's single cab with low headrests and he shattered the rear window with his head.
