New member, new to me truck - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have had my Dad's 1965 C10 truck picked up and it is on it's way to my house in Maryland. He bought it in 1968, so it has been in the family for almost 50 years. My mom said if I didn't take it, she was going to sell it. I just couldn't let it leave the family. The engine is not working but the rest of it is pretty good, being a California car all it's life. My plans are to get it running and safe and to keep it as close to the same as it sits.

I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi, since I am sure i will have plenty of questions.

One question I had was what are the East Coast events I should plan to attend like Carlisle?

Welcome nice truck. I'm glad you decided to keep it in the family. Don't forget to give me a shout "cousin" if you decided to get rid of it. lol
