i would like to use a hidden receive hitch, but am not sure if they can be used w/a bumper instead of a roll pan? anyone shed some light on this for me?

Yes they can, I have a hidden hitch behind my sport bumper.

Absolutly! That is going on Low Buck this week. I got mine from ECE and it is a work of art and a very well built unit..

I would recomend one of their's in a heart beat.

Yep and the best part is the wiring just plugs right into your stock tail section for the standard flat 4 plug.

I have one on my truck from ECE. It is the best. It will work with a blazer tank.

Can someone tell me what the distance is from the frame down to maybe the center of the receiver? I'm wondering if the hitch will work on my 69' with a 96' stepside bed and a roll pan. Thanks, Brandon
