I don't think you did to bad. Aftermarket a/c on the six is cool. Let us know what you decide to do with her.

Re: bought truck of ebay
I'm just excited to get a shortbed love the fact I'm going to have a shortbed small back window with a wood bed. Yeah I think it would be awesome if I could get the old school aftermarket ac going.

My wife hides my ...impulse money, but I do a lot of trading for parts or labour, the barter system is still alive and well.

Re: bought truck of ebay
I think I looked at that truck here in Mechanicsville a few years ago. Not a bad truck, but it had rust in the typical spots. I was interested in it for the bed, but decided to pass. I too think you did ok for the price.

Re: bought truck of ebay
Not bad for that price for a real shortie. Those ac units are usually pretty simple to get working. The compressor seals going out is usually the big issue with them.

Re: bought truck off ebay
nice job bringing it back! Love the patina....if you want to ride with the patina you might be able to get the primer off the bed...the old paint is tougher so you can try a rag and enamel reducer will take it right off. Leaves the original paint alone..or wax and grease remover...

Re: bought truck off ebay
I like it. And,you dig good. I would have gone for that! Heck,I've used stripper and the re-paint blistered right up and didn't touch the OEM paint. It takes quite a few applications to get that stuff off. I'm not saying do that. I "wanted" all the paint off when I did that. If I wanted to save the paint it probably would strip to bare in one application! Just saying, the OEM paint is tough and you'll be able to get that primer off and leave it pretty easy.
