Just a warning. Don't use windex to clean off the gauge faces on your stock gauges. It will remove the stock lettering.

Whatever they used to mark the faces is not a durable material.

Just use a clean dry cloth to wipe them down if they are dirty.

Luckily I had plenty of spare gauges sitting around and didn't have to put the damaged gauges onto my truck.

yeah most you can use in liquid is some warm water

don't use thinner on the gauge lens either, we got some overspray on the 84 and thinner turned it all milky now you can barely see anything through it.

i used denatured alcohol on my shift indicator without any problems. i was ready to pull the rag back and see the letters gone though!

it cleaned up nice!

Wish Ihad seen this post before I tried to clean mine some years back with degreaser .Ouch!

I used a dry paper towel to wipe the dust off the gauges but it started to rub the lettering off

Best thing I have found is a cheap 1" 100% pure bristle paint brush. Just use it like a duster.

I've actually had the lettering blur with just plain water. As mentioned, a dry soft cloth or brush is the safest bet...
