Support the Website
I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who has shared information on this website as it has become a priceless database regarding the history of our trucks and the future of the modifications we do to them. The sharing and helping of others on this website is what it's all about, not who has the best truck or who is more knowledgeable, from the guys who may have bought his truck new all the way to the 16 year old who just bought his first project and don't know a thing about where to start. I love this site.
I finished my truck yesterday (I know we never get finished) but it was road worthy and ready for it's first show today. I took home first place for best truck and it would have never been ready in time had I not been able to turn here for information, learning from others trials and troubles. So for that I say thank you. I don't know who runs this website, but thanks. I don't pay for the highest level of membership, but I do have the regular paid subscription and will continue to carry it and have bought a shirt, which I plan to get more. I highly recommend everyone support this website financially in some shape or form as it can only become better. I'll step off my soap box now. Again, thanks for everyone who shares all the wonderful information on here and try to help others with problems we all encounter. Hopefully I can or have done the same.

The board is definitely a wealth of information. I have also learned a lot on here and have supported the board for many years. Looks like you deserved the trophy. Beautiful truck. LockDoc

Re: Support the Website
Definitely! This website contains a veritable wealth of information about these trucks and should be supported with at least the minimum membership dues!

Re: Support the Website
As others have said, you earned it! Not only did you know where to turn for advice and information, but you are also the one who put that information and knowledge into reality and built such a fine truck. Congratulations. And yes, this site is a gift to all of us.

I agree that this site and the people on it are a great resource. But I really want to congratulate you on how nice your truck came out and on your win at the show..

Re: Support the Website
Thanks for the compliments. I just wanted to have the opportunity to thank everyone for the help and direction I got during this build. I know I will upgrade, etc. in the future and hopefully help others with what I have learned. I am 40 years old and obviously wasn't even born when these trucks came out and outside of this website I have to give a lot of credit to my father who also has and restores his own vehicles, but as time goes, and if we desire, we have to make sure my generation as well as younger guys come up inherit what we know and have learned. Typically around here, I am one of the "kids" around the cruises and shows. My Dad always jokes about a bumper sticker we have seen in the past about "Take a kid to a car show" as he always tells everyone that he does. LOL. Around here car cruises and shows are at a peak and I am hoping that it continues. I try to spread the word about the website as I know several who have trucks that fit into our 67-72 website criteria.

Awesome! Congrats on the award I agree with everything you said. This board helps me tremendously. There's a loyalty around here that is rarely found on other message boards.

After perusing (and learning from) the wisdom here, I decided to drop the $25 and became a member. Best money I've spent in years!

Re: Support the Website
And as far as the site. When I joined in July I didn't know the difference between a 67 and a 72, in 3 short months I have learned soooo much. The knowledge here and the open friendliness is awesome. Noone judges, noone looks down on you for not knowing something, they just teach and spread the knowledge on these awesome trucks. I know I wouldn't be able to even begin to know how to build my 68 without this site.
