what brand of 20" tires

Got a set of 20x8.5 and 20x10 rims. Trying to find a set of tires that match. Wanted to go 255/40/20 front and 295/40/20 rears, lots of threads Everybody's doing it. Problem I'm having is finding a matching set. Checked Toyo proxies but no 255's anymore, tried Yokohama but nope no match. I did find a matching set of Nitto's but they are 245/45/20 front. What's everyone running as far as matching set.

Re: what brand of 20" tires

same size wheels as you. I was conservative in the back; could have gone 295. but i'm happy as both of these tires end up being the same height which is what i wanted.

245/45ZR-20 BFGOODRICH G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S XL
275/40ZR-20 BFGOODRICH G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S XL

paid like $675 with the rebate... which i'm still waiting for.

Can you post a couple pictures please? I'm curious if the rear looks stretched on a 10" wide wheel or not. Also, it'd be good to see how much sidewall you have on there. I'm getting ready to pull the hammer on a set (Ridlers and tires) as well and have been trying to decide on tire size.

I assume both of you guys are running a 5.5" bs on the rear and 4.75" up front?

Re: what brand of 20" tires

.
Using Tirerack.com to find matching sets I found that it is the rear size that is limiting the result set. When I place 295 as the rear size, I get only one brand offering 255/40/20 front and 295/40/20 rear. Whereas if I put in 275 as the rear size I get a much larger list of available brands in those sizes ( 255 front 275 rear ):

Just got the Ridler 650, front 8.5/ 4.5 bs, rear 20x10 5.5bs. Kinda worried about the back, I measured one side of the truck and was good. After I ordered the wheels I remembered I didn't line up the rear when I did the 4/6 drop and adjustable track bar. After I centered everything I have about 1 1/4" from inner bed. the actual rim is almost 11" wide plus section width of tire, so I might have to run a spacer if so until I either tub it or change rearend. I have wider one from a 73 but have to add brackets. Got a set of Nitto 55, 245/45/20 fronts 295/40/20 back
I should say with the backspace of the wheel and the overall width of the wheel I'm abut an inch from inner bed, so section width of tire is going to be right there.

Re: what brand of 20" tires

Ok these are the Nitto 555, 245/45/20 on a 8.5 rim with 4.5"bs on the front. No problems. The back I don't have the 5 lug axles yet so can't put them on but have the overall measurement so you know just how much you'll need.
Backs are 20x10, 5.5"bs 295/40/20 Nitto 555. 11 3/4" wide on the rim and 5 3/4" from hub to inside of tire.

Those look really good
Are you sure you're not 4.75" bs up front though? I didn't see a 4.5 inch backspace listed.

Also do you have any idea what your flange to flange rear end measurement is?

there is a little stretch but im ok with it. pic is the rear wheel and the front wheel sidewall is straight up and down/even.
it looks normal unless you are looking for it at the extreme angle.
will try to go 295 in the back next time though but like OP hard to get a staggered set of good tires in certain sizes.

thanks, its a good 20 footer though lol.
ECE 4/6

i believe i have the narrower rear end. i will measure when i get home.
i am not using spacers and have about 1/2 inch between tire and inner wheel well. could have easily gone 295 with a 1/4 spacer.

heads up if you change axles from 6 to 5 lug like i did; make sure the lug nuts are long enough for a spacer. my replacement axles had much shorter lug nuts.

Re: what brand of 20" tires

Just an FYI I have the narrower rear end, so I’m probably going to rub inner bed wheel wel. A 4.5 or 5” bs would be better

I'm in the same boat. I have a 62 inch wide Currie and 4.75in would be ideal, but don't see that offered.

Re: what brand of 20" tires

I’m probably going to run 1/4” spacer even though I think that’s kinda hokey. You could go 8” wide with the 4 3/4 bs, but won’t get as wide of rear tire
