NOS Steering column parts question

I'm trying to buy a steering column, but it needs a lower bearing. When I asked the seller where a guy would find such an animal (after checking a couple of parts houses), he said he had a NOS bearing, but he didn't know if its lower or upper. Part # is 7805790. Anybody know how I can find out if this is the right bearing, or where i can FIND replacement bearings?

Re: NOS Steering column parts question

See if he will take a picture of both sides of the bearing and measure the diameter of the top and bottom. Send me the pictures using my contact info. I will then compare to my tilt. I think the bearing is visible at the bottom of the column.

Its a non-tilt column, would that change the lower bearing?

Re: NOS Steering column parts question

I'm pretty sure the tilt and non-tilt lower bearings are different. But I have both columns

Re: NOS Steering column parts question

The bearing is still available from GM it is different from upper bearing. Tilts and non tilt use the same bearing but use different housings.

Re: NOS Steering column parts question

I think both Brother's and LMC have them. I just bought a pair from one of the two.(upper and lower).
